We made many more friends at this year’s Greek Festival sponsored by Saint Demetrius Greek Orthodox Church in Calgary, June 24-26, 2005. This event has become a must festival for Calgarians and summer visitors alike. Our booth was visited by thousands, all amazed at the artistic wealth of modern Greece. Their curiosity about the wine roads of Greece was piqued with Nico Manessis’ Wine Map of Greece, the most popular attraction! And of course two lucky Calgarians won our raffle: one won an original painting by Yiannis Adamakis, represented by Zoumboulaki Gallery in Athens, and the other a bottle of hand-crafted MedenAgan wine, an agiorgitico red of the Papantonis Estate in Peloponissos.
