If you love food and wine then you must join us on this journey through the unspoiled wine roads of Peloponissos—where we will visit little known appellations such as Mantineia and Nemea, and taste "challenging" to pronounce —but oh! so easy to love— wines made from indigenous grapes such as agiorgitico, moschofilero or roditis. From our base in the charming medieval seaside city of Nafplio, we’ll take day trips to visit exclusive wine estates, and lunch at cozy tavernas off the beaten path. We’ll take dinners by the sea at restaurants and wine bars that have excelled in re-inventing regional cuisine using the area’s renowned cheeses, vegetables, pastas, fish and meat dishes paired with some of Greece’s most spectacular wines!
Since Greece’s second largest wine producing area is but a stone’s throw from Ancient Mycenae, Epidaurus and Olympia—we’ll take in these historic sites in our journey. Join us October 4-12, 2006 for an unforgettable seven days, a veritable feast for the senses! book this journey
